About Peachy Removals

Our backstory!

Hello! I’m Scott, founder of Peachy Removals and fruit enthusiast. I intended writing this in third person but this felt more personal. Thank you for making it this far on our website. I hope you have a better understanding of what and why we do what we do here at Peachy Removals. A bit like nurses, we believe that serious work doesn’t have to be done with a serious attitude.

The inspiration for Peachy Removals came as a result of having worked in the removal industry in both New Zealand and here in Glasgow. Despite being more than 11,000 miles apart, the industry’s notorious reputation was apparent at both ends. Considering that a fundamental part of the job entails interacting with customers in their homes, I was astounded to witness the lack of courtesy and diligence when dealing with people and their lifelong possessions. Hence my desire to launch a respectful, reliable and transparent removal business with a little colour too!

I’ve always found About Us sections a bit cheesy so I’ll spare you the quirky hobbies and inclinations for food and wine and music and books and peaches and Munro-bagging and forests and the Before trilogy and picnics and road trips and family time - not necessarily in that order!

  • To keep it PG, I’ll say a box marked “Grandpa’s Skull”.

  • Cause everything’s going to be Peachy!

  • Fontainebleau, an hour south of Paris.

  • Varanasi or the Maasai Mara.

  • Got to be a peach cobbler!

  • As tasty as Peach Fanta is, I’ll go for the Williams Brothers Peach Pale Ale. If you’ve not tried it you must!
