Everything you need to know to move like a pro!

No, not the Family Annual Quiz. Frequently Asked Questions of course. Hopefully, the following will answer some of your moving queries and curiosities.

  • Rest assured, whilst with us all of your possessions are fully covered by our Goods in Transit and Public Liability insurances.

  • Provided it doesn’t require specialist skill or equipment, yes we do!

  • As long as they are packed, we don’t mind. Black sacks and boxes are good. If you’re not keen for an ironing marathon once you’ve moved in, then we would recommend wardrobe boxes for your nice attire, which are available to hire or purchase.

  • We advise placing small to medium plants in an open-top box. Leave the large ones as they are - we’ll do the rest!

  • Bubble wrap is always great, so is shrink wrap. Otherwise we’ll wrap them in moving blankets.

  • Whether you have one listless cat or an entire aviary, due to the amount of activity when loading a van, we recommend keeping them out the way.

  • We will be happy to, although due to obvious reasons we are not permitted to reconnect it at the other side.

  • Not only are our removalists some of the best around, each van will be expertly packed using an array of equipment to ensure everything will be as safe and snug whilst in transit as it was in your home.

  • As our team is paid by the hour, from 1pm there is a charge of £65/hour. In reality, the waiting time is rarely much more than an hour or two.

  • We work with several Glasgow and Edinburgh storage companies in order to offer you a range of storage solutions, be it for a couple of days or even a number of months.

  • Provided you have a fixed staircase or ladder and the loft is properly floored and has lighting, then yes of course we will.

  • Although at times it may seem that way, in fact they are not what you would call stereotypical cape-wearing heroes.

  • Easy - get in touch with us and we’ll arrange a time that suits to collect them.

  • There are several factors taken into consideration when providing you with an accurate estimation, such as size and volume of possessions, which floor your home is on, access to the property, number of vans required and distance between addresses.

  • The peach.

  • Aside from mountains, we cannot move gas bottles, flammable liquids (Lynx & hairsprays are fine!), animals, opened tins of paint and perishable food.

  • Vehicle manufacturers unfortunately said our Peachy Wagon proposal was “impossible”! Plan B = contact Elon.

  • That’s a subjective one, however, we certainly strive to be! Decide for yourself!
